How can I buy an instrument?

You can choose between two different ways to purchase and instrument or bow.

  • Bank transfer. This is our preferred method and the traditional way to pay for high-value instruments online. If you don't have a Norwegian or European bank account, you can use a service like Wise, Revolut or Paypal to send the funds to our bank account.
  • Secure Payment Link. If you prefer, we can also send you a secure payment link where you can pay with Visa, Mastercard and other options.

We currently accept payments in Norwegian kroner, euro, American dollars and British pounds. If you would like to pay in a different currency, let us know and we will try to accommodate your request.

How does the 14-Day Home Trial work?

Every customer who buys an instrument or bow can take advantage of the 14-Day home trial. Once your new instrument or bow arrives to your home, you have 14 days to decide if this is the right instrument for you or return it if you're not completely happy with it. How can I try your instruments?

There are two ways to try our instruments.

The first way is to buy the instrument you are interested in on our website. Once it arrives at your house, your 14-Day Home Trial begins. If you are not fully happy with the instrument, just return it! Read more about our home trial here.

If you would like to try one or more instruments in person, you are welcome to meet us at Gamle Raadhus Scene in the heart of Oslo. You can try all of our instruments and bows in the wonderful acoustics of this historical building. Just contact us to schedule an appointment!

We are also happy to have a video chat with you to compare the different instruments and bows and play them side-by-side for you. Just send us a message to set up an appointment.

What is your return policy?

All instruments and bows can be returned during the 14-Day Home Trial period provided that they are still in the same condition in which they were sent to you. For more information, please click here.

What countries do you ship to?

We currently ship to almost all European countries, North America and Asia. But don't worry, we are working very hard to expand this list. Send us a message if you live in a different country and we will do our best to help!

I want to sell my instrument or bow

Do you have a fine violin, viola, cello or bow that you would like to sell? If so, we're here to help! By selling your instrument on commission with meistari.no, you take advantage of our online platform to quickly find a buyer on the international market and sell your instrument for a satisfactory price. Where are you located?

We are located in Oslo, Norway. If you want to try any of the instruments or bows in person, please contact us to make an appointment. Customers can try all of our instruments in the wonderful acoustics of Gamle Raadhus Scene in the heart of Oslo.
