Returns & Refunds
General Information
For instruments and bows, we offer a 14-Day Home Trial during which your item(s) can be returned if you are not happy with it. After receiving your instrument or bow, you have 14 calendar days to evaluate your item and request a return, if necessary. Please read more about our 14-Day Home Trial here.
Damages
Please inspect your order once you receive it and contact us immediately if the item is damaged upon arrival. If the item arrives damaged, please send us a description and photos of the damage so that we can evaluate and correct the problem.
Returns Process
If you wish to return your item(s) within the 14-day period, the item(s) you are returning must be in the same condition that you received it. To start a return, you must first contact us at info@meistari.no and inform us of your intent to return your item(s). Please note that returns must be sent to the following address:

If your return is accepted, we will send you further instructions on how to return your item. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
Packing your Instrument for Shipment
The instrument must be packed in the same way that it was sent to you. Once you receive your instrument, please take a photo of how it was packaged for your own records. Keep all of the original packaging that we sent with the violin so that you can use it again.
Please note that the customer is responsible for paying the return postage fee. We prefer that you use PostNord, DHL, UPS or FedEx express mail, although national mail services are allowed. If you are returning the product from within Norway, the Norgespakken option from Posten is a good choice.
Be sure that the shipping type is marked as ‘return of goods’ on the shipping and customs forms. If you are returning an instrument from outside Norway, please complete the customs forms carefully, accurately and completely. Any import fees that were charged in Norway due to incorrectly completed import declarations or procedures must be borne by the customer.
Return Payments
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. Please note that items can be slow to arrive due to processing in Norwegian Customs. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
