  2. Meet us in Oslo. You can meet us in person and try your instrument in the wonderful acoustics at Gamle Raadhus Scene in the heart of Oslo. You are welcome to try all of our instruments and bows there.

Pascal Camurat has trained an entire generation of bow makers and is one of the most noteworthy French bow makers working today - and for good reason.

Pascal Camurat, a distinguished violin and bow maker, earned his diploma in 1983 from Mittenwald and received specialized bow-making training in Paris under mentors Paul Siefried and Stéphane Thomachot. Crafting his first bow in Siefried's Los Angeles shop in 1984, he later honed his skills in instrument restoration in Los Angeles and Charles Beare's studio in London. Joining his father's Paris workshop in 1988 and succeeding him in 1990, Pascal, alongside brother Bernard, formed "CAMURAT Frères." Since 2000, he has focused on crafting fine bows and occasional violins in Montpellier. Inspired by classic French makers, Pascal's bows have evolved, earning special mentions in prestigious competitions such as the Paris Competition in 1991 and 2004, and the Manchester Competition in 2001. Beyond instrument and bow making, he serves as the General Secretary of the International Society of Violin and Bow Makers and Chairman of the Association of Violin and Bow Makers of France.

Pascal has been in the business for over 40 years and has made over 1,000 bows to date.
